ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Drama is performed on a 18 feet wide by 8 feet deep platform that is raised 2 feet off the floor. Steps are provided for safe access and may be on either side of the platform.  Four microphones on stands are provided, and they are placed on the floor in front of platform.

Puppets are performed on the same platform as drama.  A stage, which is placed on the platform, has a front wall that is 12 feet  wide and 4 feet tall, and a back wall that is 12 feet wide and 6 feet tall. There is 3 feet between the front and back wall; the walls may be connected by an pipe that angles between and connects the top ends of each wall.  The stage 'wall' consists of black drape material.

If you have not seen these before, and need information about microphone placement, how scenery works, or anything else,  please contact puppetevent@hoaltc.org or ltc@hoaltc.org

For Signing for the Deaf, in the past we have had an audiotape for all hearing persons and the participant to hear while the participant signed.  Each participant will wear headphones while they sign, essentially making the audience deaf.  The words to the song or scripture will be projected behind the participant for the audience’s benefit. This will provide a more realistic experience for the participant.  Remember a Deaf person would not hear the music or the speaker but will see the words on your hands. If you get behind no one will know but you, but don’t skip ahead either; the audience will have the words right in front of them.

The level of ability is expected to grow with the participant’s age. The older students are expected to be able to do a little more. The categories have changed slightly. Please read all event information here and in the manual.
