This year we have two student editions of the multiple choice questions. The Multiple Choice Basic Edition
tends to have simpler questions and shorter responses suitable for children as young as mid-elementary school. The Multiple
Choice Advanced Edition contains all the basic questions but 29 of the 31 chapters have additional questions designed to cover
the material in a more thorough or challenging manner. The Multiple Choice Teacher's Edition has all the Advanced questions
with the correct answer underlined along with the verse(s) supporting the correct answer. A key provides the answer and supporting
verse(s) in condensed form. Students choose the best response of the four possible responses provided.
INFORMATION SPECIFIC TO HEART OF AMERICA LTC
Official guidelines on the HOALTC convention events that use this guide can be found in the Manual, specifically Bible Bowl and Bible Quiz. For the 2008 Bible Bowl, expect the material for the first two rounds involving all participants to generally parallel material
in the Multiple Choice Basic Edition. The third round involves the upper grades and participants from lower grades who choose
to participate. Expect material for this third round to generally parallel material unique to the Multiple Choice Advanced
Edition. What this means for teachers is that all upper level students and students from the lower levels ready
for the challenge should work through the Multiple Choice Advanced Edition.
Familiarity with the concepts and information covered by the HOALTC Multiple Choice Study Guide should
prepare participants for a solid Bible Bowl performance. The Bowl's purpose is to encourage knowledge and understanding of
the Word using the study guide as a tool, not to test memorization of the study guide. The questions in the convention's Bible
Bowl event will strongly parallel the Multiple Choice Editions of the Study Guide.
